Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo Dedicated to Assembling Birthing Kits

While many Zonta clubs take part in assembling birthing kits, the Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo, District 4, has been committed to the task for over 10 years.

Twice a year, Zontians and community members gather to assemble the kits, producing about 1,000 during each session.

Over the course of this longstanding project, the club has put together more than 22,000 kits.

The kits help women in developing countries give safer births and can prevent infection for both mothers and babies and stop the spread of disease to midwives.
