Zonta Club of Toronto donates gloves to local hospital

As a result of the social distancing measures required during the COVID-19 crisis, the Zonta Club of Toronto, like all Zonta clubs, has had to cancel their annual Spring Birthing Kit assembly event.

The club had, among other materials, a stockpile of 4,000 latex gloves that were scheduled for the event and needed to go somewhere else. With the permission of Medical Mart, the vendor who supplied the gloves, a decision was made to donate all 4,000 gloves to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto.

During the donation, Peter Dennis, a representative from Medical Mart thanked the club and said: “Our front-line workers need these products more than ever, your organization's act of kindness will go a long way.”
