Z Club of Lal-lo National High School collects A Penny for My Education

In July, under the leadership of Club President Alhyra Joy B. Fortozo, the Z Club of Lal-lo National High School (LNHS), Philippines, raised funds for students who cannot afford to buy additional school supplies that they need daily. The student club was divided into 10 groups, and each group was provided with a tin can to collect as many coins as possible.

On October 26th, the student club visited the Teen Center of LNHS to open the cans containing the savings and donations collected from their classmates, friends, teachers, schoolmates, and families. They raised a total of ₱15,538 or US$282.51, which will be used to buy school supplies for less fortunate students. This amount will go a long way in helping these students with their education.

The sponsoring Zonta Club of Tuguegarao is proud of these student members for making a change and engaging in such fundraising. They look forward to producing more compassionate future leaders especially in building a better world for women and girls.
