Zonta Club of Tuguegarao helps breast feeding friends

To help newborn babies have a healthy start in life, the Zonta Club of Tuguegarao, Philippines, has continuously supported the Breast Feed Friends (BFF) group in Lal-Lo, Cagayan. BFF collects milk donations from lactating women and helps breastfeeding moms feed their babies.

The club constantly donates moringa capsules, milk bags and breast pumps to the Rural Health Unit because they always hold milk-letting activities to donate to the Cagayan Valley Media Center (CVMC), the largest hospital.

On 16-17 August, the club participated in one of the milk-letting events held by the local government at the NutriHealth Fest Year 4 Activity. Mayor Florante C. Pascual headed it.

The Z Club of Lal-lo National High School also joined the event.

"The feeling of fulfillment is supreme as it always warms the Zontians' hearts, knowing that [we] have done something, a simple gift. Yet, it is for a lifetime to help feed hungry infants struggling to survive," said Club President Maria Olivia Pascual. "Breast milk is the best milk!"
