Zonta Club of Makati and Environs hosts FilipinaZ Living Art and more

The Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, Philippines, built a better world by celebrating UN Day with American diplomats and marking its 10th annual FilipinaZ fundraiser.

UN Day celebration to remember
On 24 October, the club celebrated UN Day with U.S. Ambassador Marykay L. Carlson as a principal guest and Rebekah Eubanks, the U.S. AID Director. The club conversed with the two American diplomats on stage at the Security Bank Auditorium.

Olga Severino Martel, the club's UN Committee chair and past president, spoke with them. Marykay graciously shared her impressions of the Filipino people, especially the women who do their bit to empower their fellow women. Her primary contact has been past Club President Maritess Pineda, with whom she has developed a close friendship. She also spoke of the UN programs that benefit and empower women.

10th annual Filipinaz Fundraiser: Living Art
The club held its art, fashion, and fine jewelry fundraising shopping event on 21 and 22 October to celebrate living art's various expressions and manifestations.

"FilipinaZ has always been inclued toward the arts," said Maritess. "Many of our members are avid art collectors and patrons. We also have several artists from different fields who are part of the organization."

Apart from shopping for a cause, the event has gathered like-minded individuals who share the same ethos of uncompromising excellence and service as Zonta.

"The venue also becomes a place where we connect with individuals who eventually become Zonta members," Maritess furthers.

The fundraiser opens up opportunities for participating vendors to become part of a noteworthy advocacy. At the same time, this exposure allows them to blossom in an environment where their unique artistry is celebrated.

FilipinaZ has consistently built a brand that women can trust throughout its decade-old history. Every fundraiser's unique and continuously evolving art experience has drawn a loyal following to its venue doors year after. Its growing edit of lifestyle products that highlight artistic excellence has inspired buyers to explore and immerse in new forms of wearable, accessible, everyday art. The entire experience was conceived, designed, built and brought to life by an established club dedicated to empowering women through various initiatives, making FilipinaZ the annual fundraiser to be noticed.
