Zonta Club of Alytus hikes for children and more

The Zonta Club of Alytus, Lithuania, participated in multiple events to build a better world for its community.

Donating "nappies"
The club donated nappies to more than 20 elderly "kindergarteners" who gather daily in town to attend Gerumo skraistė, also known as "English Cloack of Kindness," a public institution offering senior citizens daycare. There, the students themselves in a multitude of activities that become a cure for loneliness.

Hiking for children
Club President Rūta Jasionienė took part in a hiking trip from the Lithuanian capital Vilnius to Alytus. The money raised from the hike will be donated to children with autism spectrum disorders. Three men walked 100 km in 25 hours without sleep, and Rūta walked 40 km.
