Zonta Girls Golf Team empowerment journey in Chiang Mai

The Zonta Girls Golf Team of the Zonta Club of Hualien II, Taiwan, began the new year with an inspiring international golf journey to Chiang Mai, led by Club President and Team Captain Daisy Chen, alongside Club Vice President Sherry, highlighting women’s leadership, mentorship and solidarity through sport.

Traveling on a direct charter flight from Hualien, the delegation of 22 members and family participants engaged in a carefully planned program blending athletic challenge, personal growth and meaningful connection. The team played three renowned courses: Santino Golf Chiang Rai, Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai and Summit Green Valley Chiang Mai Country Club.

Beyond competition, the experience reflected the Zonta spirit of empowering women and girls through confidence-building activities, teamwork and leadership in action. Senior members led by example, while younger players were encouraged to develop resilience, discipline and self-belief, reinforcing golf as a platform for cultivating life skills and mutual support.

The journey also included a joyful January birthday celebration honoring participating members, further strengthening bonds within the Zonta family. Shared laughter, encouragement and achievements created lasting memories and deepened intergenerational connections.
