Zonta Club of Makati and Environs sells preloved items for sexual assault survivors

The Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, Philippines, recently held a successful vintage fair where they sold preloved clothes and accessories to raise funds for their various projects to empower women and girls.

The event's main beneficiary is the Psychological Center for Girls at Marillac Hills, which provides housing for girls aged 4-17 years old that have experienced sexual assault. A haven provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the center's psychologists help the girls overcome their trauma. The girls also engage in various creative activities like art, dance and physical exercises to contribute to their rehabilitation.

The club held its vintage fair at the Makati Garden Club in the heart of Makati's business district. Club members donated their slightly used clothes and jewelry, which were then sold at a considerable bargain. The fair had a curated selection of preloved fashion items ranging from casual blouses to evening gowns.
