Zonta Club of Dhaka IV promotes climate and plastic literacy among students

The Zonta Club of Dhaka IV, Bangladesh, organized a climate and plastic literacy session to reduce plastic pollution and raise climate change awareness among the students and more.

Climate and plastic literacy session
The club invited Amanullah Porag, a local climate rights advocate, to  explain how children could experience mental health impacts from major storms, fires, and other extreme events expected to increase with a changing climate. They also can suffer from other changes, such as having to move due to climate threats.

Student Sponsorship program
The club's advocacy committee chair Naushi Rahman and club member Salma Wafa visited an underprivileged school in HashiMukh Shomaj Kalyan Sangtha to visit the club's Student Sponsorship program.

The club has always sponsored Bangladeshi children as they believe every child should fulfill their full potential and will make a positive impact on society. They also believe that every child deserves an education.

Naushi and Salma exchanged information and ideas to start a caregiver training program to assist the disadvantaged population. All the club's projects support local children and increase Zonta's visibility.
