Zonta Club of Central Tuguegarao obtains Zonta Forest and Garden

The Zonta Club of Central Tuguegarao, Philippines, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Metropolitan Tueguegarao Water District where the club will be responsible for a five-hectare area in the watershed at Penablanca, Cagayan. That area is now known as the Zonta Forest and Garden. 

Before the MOA, the club had already conducted many tree-planting activities with the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines-International School of Asia and the Pacific. Almost a thousand trees have been planted since March 2021.

The club thanks the Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District for the opportunity, and they shall maintain, develop and protect the Zonta Forest and Garden to the best of their abilities. The club also hopes that this massive step towards the fight against climate change.
