Zonta Club of Alytus gives back pine trees

At the beginning of September, the Zonta Club of Alytus, Lithuania, participated in the Green Dinner, an elegant fundraiser for the initiative "Let's Give Back Pine Trees to Alytus." At the event, attendees could buy and plant pine trees in specially selected spaces in Alytus near the Alytus City Social Services Centre and the Alyutus Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Centre.

On 20 September, staff members and the club planted pine trees in front of the Alytus Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Centre. The following day,  staff, visitors and senior residents gathered to plant more pine trees, along with club members, Odeta and Angelė. The director, Eglė Teresevičienė, expressed her satisfaction with beautifying the center's environment, which is being developed into a plant park.

After an hour of hard work, the newly planted pine trees blossomed. The new trees will bring joy to the center's community and passers-by and inspire everyone to work hard to create and beautify the center's environment.
