Zonta Rose Day celebration

The Zonta Club of Dhaka III, Bangladesh, celebrated Zonta Rose Day on 8 April, following a slight delay in observance due to the month of Ramadan. The event brought together club leaders, members and special guests in a meaningful program that recognized service, community protection and justice.

The celebration was attended by Governor of District 25 Area 2 Dr. Zareen Delawar, as well as Past Governor Fahmida Kareem. Presidents and members from all local Zonta clubs were also present.

This year, club president honored all members with appreciation certificates and commemorative crests, recognizing their longstanding contributions to the club’s mission. As a gesture of encouragement, each member received a small token of appreciation.

In a special segment of the event, the club presented Zonta crests and personalized clocks featuring the Zonta logo to six distinguished guests—four members of the local police force, including two women officers, and two lawyers. The gifts symbolized Zonta’s appreciation for their commitment to protecting the community and upholding justice. The gesture was accompanied by the message, “Zonta is a friend of police.”

The event concluded with a cultural performance and a public pledge from the police representatives to stand in partnership with Zonta’s advocacy and service efforts moving forward.
