Zonta Club of Quirino strengthens advocacy through Women’s Month initiatives and podcast series

The Zonta Club of Quirino, Philippines, continues to uphold its mission of empowering women and promoting gender equality, combining community engagement and digital advocacy through its Women’s Month celebration and the launch of its podcast series.

During a recent general meeting led by Club President Judge Donabel Balot, members discussed plans for Women’s Month initiatives, reinforcing the club’s commitment to advocacy, education and service. The celebration will highlight the selfless dedication of club members, who contribute their time, efforts and resources to making a difference in the community.

Furthering its impact, the club launched a podcast series to provide an accessible platform for education and dialogue, allowing listeners to engage with critical issues from the comfort of their homes via the club’s official Facebook page.

The first episode, featuring Zontian Jully Ann Ramos of Belleza Brows and Aesthetic Skin and Zontian Maureen Ruma, focused on self-care and confidence-building through beauty and wellness. The second episode explored the Safe Spaces Act (Anti-Bastos Law) with Zontian Attorney Chinita Vallejo and special guest speaker Zontian Attorney Jobelle Maron, providing an in-depth discussion on combatting sexual harassment and gender-based violence in public spaces.

By combining community outreach with digital advocacy, the club remains at the forefront of education, empowerment and action, ensuring that women’s rights and gender equality continue to be championed in Quirino and beyond.
