Zonta Club of Quirino hosts Medical Mission for women in Saguday
In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Zonta Club of Quirino, Philippines, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Saguday and the Rural Health Unit, organized a medical mission on 19 March, at the Lakas Bayan Center.
The initiative, led by Zontian Dr. Marianne Nicolas and supported by Club President Judge Donabel A. Balot, provided essential healthcare services to 300 women from the municipality. The mission aimed to support women who have limited access to medical care by distributing basic and prioritized medications such as multivitamins, calcium supplements, paracetamol and maintenance medicines for heart and blood conditions.
Club Vice President Glenda Garay Mina, along with Zontians Attorney MG Mateo, Atty. Chin PV Vallejo, Aleah Aniciete-Abaya, Rhea Gonzales, Novie A. Mina, Marivi Alvarez, Elmira Joy Masa Palpallatoc and Ronalyn Juarizo, were present to assist in the program. Behind-the-scenes support was provided by Zontians Valene Mallari-Pamatmat, Earnest Sheila Soberano and Angemei Paat-Sanchez.
The medical mission aligns with the club’s ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment through service and advocacy, especially in advancing women’s health and well-being in underserved communities.
