Zonta Club of Makati and Environs announces upcoming initiatives in 4th general membership meeting
The Zonta Club of Makati & Environs Foundation Inc, Philippines, held its 4th general membership meeting, bringing members together for networking, recognition and discussions on upcoming projects.
The club honored long-serving members, including Charming Baldemor and Sockie Fernandez (10 years), Teresa Tan (30 years) and Mita Rufino and Carol Llanillo (40 years). It also recognized supporters such as the Johann Strauss Society of the Philippines, International Bazaar Foundation and Ambassador Leonida Vera.
Eight new members were inducted, strengthening the club's advocacy efforts. Members also met with Educational and Women’s Scholarship Program (EWSP) scholars, reinforcing the club’s commitment to mentorship.
Upcoming initiatives include a STEM leadership event with the Zonta Club of Cavite, a women’s rights seminar and film showing for 600 students, the Sining Filipina Art Competition at SM Aura, the She Slays 2025 – GIRLCODED Convention in partnership with the Philippine Star, responsible voting seminars and official participation in the Zonta 3rd Inter-Asian District Meeting in Fukuoka, Japan.
The club remains dedicated to empowering women, advancing gender equality and fostering community service through its growing network and impactful projects.
