Zonta Club of Christchurch-Canterbury hosts International Women’s Day event

The Zonta Club of Christchurch-Canterbury, New Zealand, marked International Women’s Day and Zonta Rose Day with an inspiring event featuring three women leaders in community service, the arts and sports.

The event welcomed Jo Bailey, co-founder of Uniting Canterbury Women; Gretchen La Roche, CEO of The Court Theatre and newly appointed chief executive of Creative New Zealand; and Meri Gibson, a leader in dragon boating and breast cancer awareness. Each speaker shared their experiences and contributions to empowering women, sparking discussions on the importance of advocacy and leadership.

With 90 women in attendance, the event encouraged participants to #AccelerateAction for gender equality.
