Zonta Club of Burbank Area honored at annual CAREWalk

The Family Service Agency (FSA) of Burbank recently celebrated its 16th annual CAREWalk event with the Zonta Club of Burbank Area, USA, being recognized for their important work in the community. Local leaders and dignitaries joined in to show support for the cause.

FSA, a longtime community support organization, honors those who help with their mission each year. The club was chosen for their efforts in advocating for women and girls. FSA Executive Director Laurie Bleick complimented and expressed gratitude for the club’s commitment.

The club has deep roots in Burbank's history, going back to Dr. Elta Pfister, who founded the club in 1936. Elta's vision helped lay the foundation for the FSA's work. The club's recent efforts include pushing for a new city rule to help fight human trafficking.

A food drive was also organized before the event to help FSA's pantry stay stocked, showing ongoing support for the community.

The club keeps working to help women and girls, offering scholarships and standing against issues like human trafficking and domestic violence. The continued efforts show dedication to making Burbank a better place for everyone.
