Zonta Club of Alytus supports third annual Lithuania singing competition

The Alytus Music School hosted the third annual "Singing for Lithuania" competition on 7 March, bringing together young performers from kindergartens, general education schools and non-formal education institutions across Alytus city and district. The event aimed to foster patriotism, cultural values and love for the Homeland through music.

The competition opened with welcoming remarks from Alytus Music School Director Gabrielė Dambauskaitė, followed by music teacher expert and event organizer Jolanta Sabonienė, who expressed joy at the strong participation. She encouraged the young singers to embrace their love for Lithuania and perform with passion.

A panel of judges evaluated the performances, including jury chairperson Egidija Grimalauskienė, a methodologist music teacher at Alytus Kindergarten "Obelėlė", and jury members Vaida Jarusevičienė, a methodologist music teacher at Alytus Šaltiniai Progymnasium and Neringa Valvonienė, Deputy Director for Education at Alytus Music School.

Participants from various Alytus kindergartens, schools and music institutions performed heartfelt songs celebrating Lithuania. The jury awarded laureate diplomas to outstanding performers, with Grimalauskienė praising the singers’ sincerity and high level of preparation.

The Zonta Club of Alytus, Lithuania, the event’s patron, contributed sweet gifts for the participants, adding to the celebration of young talent and national pride.
