The Zonta Club of Fort Collins, USA, celebrated Denim Day on 28 April to proclaim that it does not matter what a woman or girl is wearing for a perpetrator to attack or rape.
Club members partnered with organizations, such as Alternatives to Violence, Crossroads Safehouse and SAVA and posed wearing denim. The club’s advocacy and service committee created posters and spread the word around their local community. The photos have been distributed on their social media platforms to build awareness for April’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
