Zonta Club of Makati and Environs concludes biennium with a bang

The Zonta Club of Makati and Environs Foundation Inc., Philippines, held its 10th General Membership Meeting on 26 May, at Milky Way Café, marking one of the final gatherings of the 2024–2026 biennium under the leadership of Club President Joanne Zapanta Andrada.

The meeting featured guest speaker Dr. Cielo Magno, former undersecretary for fiscal policy and monitoring at the Philippine Department of Finance. Dr. Magno delivered the talk, “Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Governance and What Zonta Clubs Can Do?”

She encouraged Zontians to continue supporting initiatives that foster civic responsibility, social awareness and sustainable community development, emphasizing that meaningful change begins when individuals act with integrity, courage and compassion.

The meeting also provided updates on upcoming projects and activities, including Brigada Eskwela 2026, a High Tea with Art Investment Talk, the induction and installation of officers and sponsorship opportunities for Educational and Women’s Scholarship Program scholars for the 2026–2027 school year.
