Youth leadership, music and culture take center stage in Laguna

Youth empowerment took the spotlight in San Pedro as the Zonta Club of Laguna, Philippines, partnered with civic groups and government leaders to host a series of community events promoting leadership, creativity and civic engagement.

As part of the 2025 Youth Leadership Excellence Awards, Zonta joined JCI Damas De San Pedro and JCI San Pedro Postal Key to honor top-performing students across Grade 6, Junior High, and Senior High School. The awards recognized achievements in academics, leadership, community service and character, with support from Zonta Club President and Laguna 1st District Representative Ann Matibag, who also serves as Vice Chair of Young Women in Leadership.

Meanwhile, CongresswomANN’s Night Year 3: Battle of the Show Bands lit up the city with vibrant performances by youth musicians from various barangays. The event, held in celebration of the Feast of San Antonio de Padua, offered ₱150,000 in prizes, with Zonta contributing key sponsorship. The event fostered youth engagement, artistic expression and community unity.

These efforts reflect the club's mission to cultivate capable, values-driven young leaders by providing inclusive platforms for leadership, talent development and social responsibility.
