Zonta Club of Ulaanbaatar celebrate International Women's Day

During the Zonta Yellow Rose campaign, the Zonta Club of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, raised a combined total of US$450 and 3.8 million tugrik in donations.

The funds were allocated to both global and local efforts. A portion was contributed to the Zonta Foundation for Women to support programs advancing the rights and opportunities of women worldwide. The remaining funds were directed toward improving the quality of life for girls with speech and hearing impairments at School No. 29, a special needs institution in Ulaanbaatar.

As part of the initiative, members used the donations to renovate sanitation facilities in the girls’ dormitory and provide essential furniture, supplies and materials to enhance daily living conditions.

On 8 March, International Women's Day, members also participated in the “Break the Chain” advocacy campaign, organized by the NGO Lovely Heart, which aims to end sexual violence against women and girls. Participants gathered at Sukhbaatar Square, joining civil society organizations and community members to support the campaign.
