Igniting Change: Zonta Club of Cebu I joins forces with youth to tackle teenage pregnancy
In a powerful show of collaboration and commitment to youth empowerment, the Zonta Club of Cebu I, Philippines, through its Women Empowerment (WE) Hub Project Manager Carl Dave Black Ang, proudly took part as a guest speaker in the recent KAMPHimsug activity organized by the Cebu City Youth Development Office (CCYDO) in Moalboal, Cebu. Addressing over 100 enthusiastic youth leaders, Carl delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking session on the importance of teenage pregnancy prevention, a critical issue that continues to shape the lives of young people across the country.
Carl’s message resonated deeply with the crowd, sparking dialogue and encouraging youth participants to take an active role in building safer, healthier communities. The event was not just a platform for education, but a rallying point for advocacy, action, and solidarity among the next generation of changemakers. The Zonta club’s presence underscored its mission of empowering women and youth through awareness, support, and engagement — values that lie at the heart of the WE Hub Project.
The club expresses sincere appreciation to CCYDO, particularly Mr. Pao Saberon, for the opportunity to contribute to this transformative event. Congratulations are also due to Hazel Hope, Joshua Sacal and the dedicated organizing team for creating a meaningful and successful gathering. Special thanks to VAWC Chair Pearle Strolz and Club President Melita Ramos for their unwavering support of the WE Hub Project and its advocacy initiatives. Through efforts like KAMPHimsug, a brighter and more empowered future for our youth is not just possible — it is already unfolding.
