Zonta Club of Cebu I donates Student Activity and Feeding Center

The Zonta Club of Cebu I, Philippines, inaugurated a Student Activity and Feeding Center at Cebu City National Science High School, a project dedicated to the memory of the late Rosita R. Arcenas, one of the club’s founding members.

The center was made possible through a fundraising initiative featuring Rosita’s preloved items, a heartfelt tribute that honors her legacy of service and generosity. The new facility aims to provide a safe and supportive space for student nourishment, engagement and development.

In addition to the center’s opening, school supplies were distributed to students through a donation from the GCH Foundation, led by Zontian Nellie Chiu, further supporting the academic needs of the school community.

A blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official launch of the center, attended by Arcenas’ son Daniel and his wife Marilou, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nimfa Bongo, Principal Dr. Marilou Tabal Dela Cuesta, CCNSHS alumni, student beneficiaries and members of the club, led by Club President Melita Ramos.
