Rose Day at Sporsho School
The Zonta Club of Greater Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the leadership of Club President Anhara Siddiky, held a successful Rose Day celebration at the Baptist Mission Integrated School for the Visually Impaired, reaffirming the club’s commitment to empowerment and community service.
President Siddiky personally led the initiative, preparing yellow silk roses, thoughtfully assembled goodie bags and overseeing every detail of the event. Her hands-on approach was evident throughout, from gift distribution to meaningful engagement with students and staff.
A highlight of the visit was the presentation of a braille edition book chronicling the life of Florence Nightingale—an initiative championed by President Siddiky to provide inspiring and accessible resources for the visually impaired.
The event also featured a cultural exchange between Zontians and students, where the children showcased their talents and received heartfelt recognition. The program was a significant achievement for the club and reflected President Siddiky’s compassionate leadership.
