Z Club of Langub National High School raises rights awareness for Women’s Month
In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Z Club of Langub National High School launched a classroom-based awareness campaign under the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” (Women in All Sectors, Rising in the New Philippines).
The campaign encouraged students to reflect on critical questions: Do you believe women should rise above challenges? Do you believe women deserve rights to protect themselves? The initiative aimed to educate peers about the constitutional and legal protections granted to women in the Philippines, highlighting key laws such as the 1987 Constitution, the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710), the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act (RA 7877), the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (RA 9262) and others safeguarding women’s rights and dignity.
Club members emphasized the importance of knowing these rights as a foundation for empowerment and equality. To engage participants, students who actively listened and joined the discussions received small tokens from the Z club girls.
