Zonta Club of Isabela holds hybrid General Assembly to plan key initiatives

The Zonta Club of Isabela, Philippines, recently held a hybrid General Assembly and Meeting, bringing together members both in person at Northern Brew in Gamu and virtually. The meeting focused on outlining upcoming initiatives aimed at community empowerment, membership growth and regional engagement.

The club’s agenda spotlighted three major efforts:

  • Financial Literacy Program (23–24 May) — In collaboration with the Zonta Club of Makati Legaspi, Australia New Zealand Bank Foundation, Isabela State University-Angadanan Campus and the Department of Migrant Workers Region 2, this two-day workshop will equip participants with essential financial management skills. The program is designed to promote economic independence and resilience in the local community.
  • District Conference in Hong Kong and Macau (25–28 September) — The club confirmed its participation in the upcoming District Conference, reinforcing its commitment to global Zonta engagement. The event offers a platform to exchange ideas, celebrate accomplishments and strengthen international collaboration for advancing the status of women.
  • New Member Installation and Golden Z Club Formation (June 2025) — As part of its growth efforts, the club discussed plans to welcome new members and support the formation of a Golden Z Club, encouraging youth involvement in advocacy and service.

The meeting also celebrated the club’s recent accomplishments during National Women’s Month and provided members—fondly called “zisters”—an opportunity to reconnect and reaffirm their shared mission of empowering women and girls through advocacy and action.
