The Zonta Club of Glens Falls, USA, is providing free period products through a partnership with Crandall Public Library. Three “fee free” pad and tampon dispensers and products are now available in selected restrooms in the library. The club's goal is to provide needed products to women and individuals in the community. Crandall Public Library is an integral part of the region and provided the perfect location to launch this initiative to support women’s everyday needs, but also to address “period poverty” which impacts 50 million women in the United States. Lack of access, and the inability to purchase period products is a continuing problem that burdens women in all communities. The club is excited to fund this project as another step to “Build a Better World for Women and Girls” in the community and the club thanks the library for sharing this vision. Organic products and dispensers were purchased through Aunt Flow - a woman owned company.
