Vigil for Earth Day

The Zonta Club of Peel Inc, Australia, incorporated an Earth Day observance into its April dinner meeting on 22 April 2026, dedicating a segment of the evening to a candlelight vigil and pertinent to their local area.

During the vigil, club members reflected on the relationship between climate crises and gender equality, needing to "Take a Step Forward" for women and girls and reaffirming that climate justice is women's rights. 

The meeting showed their commitment to supporting both environmental sustainability and the well-being of women and girls.
