Observance of anti-online sexual abuse and exploitation of children
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) is a pervasive and devastating issue that affects children of all ages, genders and backgrounds. It has long-lasting and severe consequences for victims, including physical, emotional and psychological trauma.
The National Awareness Week for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation is an important initiative of our government aimed at raising awareness and educating the public about the prevalence and signs of CSAE, prevention, support to survivors and encouraging individuals and communities to take action to protect children.
The Zonta Club of Isabela, Philippines, advocating for women's and girls' rights, recognizes the importance of addressing CSAE. The club is active in many initiatives, such as the Zonta Says NO to Women Against Women campaign, Zonta Pailaw (Solar street lights) and the Zonta Freedom Wall, to raise local awareness and prevention of CSAE and gender-based violence with the objective of creating a safer community for children and building a better world for women and girls.
