Nourishing minds, building futures

In a powerful demonstration of community service and educational advocacy, the Zonta Club of Cebu I, Philippines, formalized a partnership with Cebu City National Science High School for the construction of a Multi-Purpose Feeding Center (MPFC), a vital initiative aimed at improving student health and well-being.

The project was launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and a ceremony on campus. The MPFC will provide nutritious meals and health monitoring for undernourished students throughout the school year, offering not just physical nourishment but also a safe and supportive space.

The center is being built in memory of Rosita “Chit” Arcenas, a founding member of the club known for her compassion and commitment to service. Once completed, the MPFC will also host student development programs that support holistic well-being.

This initiative reflects the club's enduring mission to uplift women, youth and marginalized communities. “When we come together for the good of our youth, we don’t just build facilities—we build futures,” the club said in a statement.
