New Z club established at Manea Senior College in Bunbury
A new Z Club has officially been launched at Manea Senior College, with its charter presented during a special ceremony on 18 September. Sponsored by the Zonta Club of Bunbury Inc, Australia, the event marked a significant milestone for both the school and the wider community.
In her opening address, inaugural president Isabella Chalker shared her vision for the club’s role in creating positive change. “This club gives us the opportunity to make a real difference, to serve and to develop as leaders,” she said.
Manea Senior College Principal Rod Rykers voiced strong support for the initiative, noting his excitement for the contributions the new Z Club will bring. Zonta Bunbury Inc Club President Amanda Whittle presented a Z Club mini banner to the members, welcoming them into the global Zonta network. She noted that this is the third Z Club sponsored by the Bunbury club.
District leaders also joined in the celebration. Tyril Houghton, District 23 Z and Golden Z Club Coordinator, explained the mission of Z and Golden Z Clubs in cultivating youth leadership and service. Kimberley Robbins, District 23 Area 3 Director, conducted the official induction of the members and installed the new board.
Manea Senior College teacher Susan Main, who will serve as the Z Club’s adviser, expressed her enthusiasm to guide the students. “I am delighted to support the students as they embark on this journey of personal growth and community service,” she said.
