NPUST Golden Z Club assists at the Creative Cultural Market

On 14 November, the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) Golden Z Club, Taiwan, had its first club activity at the Pingtung Creative Cultural Market.

New residents from Malaysia and Egypt share stories about their business experiences in the morning. There were startup stories about culture shocks, financial challenges and other difficulties they faced on the road to success. They also share their passion for Taiwanese and foreign culture.

The afternoon consisted of new resident market activities, stage dancing, and cultural introductions. The club assisted with the arranging and clean-up for the event and experienced the challenges of newly-established residents and immigrants. The students deepened their understanding of their service objective, which will allow them to provide the best methods of assistance in the future.

The club achieved its advocacy goal through the Creative Cultural Market by increasing its exposure to the student population. By engaging with the public, they were able to recruit new members.

The Zonta Club of Kaohsiung Yu-Hsiuan also joined the club to promote the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence ahead of schedule. Their 16 Days event will take place from 25 November to 25 December and focuses on eliminating violence against women and taking a stand against gender-based violence.
