Zonta Club of Jelgava joins Museums Night celebration

On May 17, the Zonta Club of Jelgava, Latvia, took part in the annual "Museums Night," a nationally celebrated event in Latvia during which museums across the country open their doors for free from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The vistors were introduced to the life and work of Zina Ulste, a renowned porcelain designer born in Jelgava who dedicated her life to the art form. Visitors were invited to experience her legacy firsthand—sipping coffee from porcelain cups while learning about her contributions to Latvian design.

The event also served as a platform to share information about the Zonta movement and its mission to empower women worldwide.

The exhibition, titled “Zina Ulste of Jelgava—A Star of Latvian Design,” will remain on display until 17 August. The project was made possible through the support of the Jelgava State City Municipal Institution "Culture," Jelgava House of Culture (Contract No. 1–24/7).
