Zonta Club of Muntinlupa holds year-end Christmas outreach

The Zonta Club of Muntinlupa, Philippines, in partnership with the Muntinlupa Golden Z Club and community partners, conducted a Year-End Christmas Outreach at the Minimum Security Camp in Muntinlupa City. The activity supported 154 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) enrolled in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) at the Minimum Security Camp. Jail administrators and ALS facilitators were also present to support and coordinate the activity.

The outreach aimed to uplift and encourage learners pursuing education while in custody. Zonta members distributed ham and fruits for Media Noche, noodles and Christmas merienda, including pancit bihon, bread, puto and shanghai. Beyond material assistance, the event offered encouragement, dignity and meaningful human connection during the holiday season.

This initiative reflected the broader commitment to human rights, education and social inclusion. By supporting male ALS learners, the club highlighted the importance of education and dignity in breaking the cycles of poverty and violence—benefiting families and communities as a whole.

The project was made possible through close collaboration among Zonta members, the Golden Z Club, community partners and jail authorities. Careful coordination ensured that all beneficiaries were reached, reinforcing Zonta’s message of hope, second chances and lifelong learning.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude and renewed motivation, sharing that the outreach brought encouragement and inspiration to continue their studies.
