Zonta Club of Leverkusen recruits new members and increases visibility

The Zonta Club of Leverkusen, Germany, has continued to strengthen its membership and community presence through sustained engagement and visibility across a range of initiatives.

The club recruited two new members last year and has welcomed three additional members in 2024. While no formal membership campaign was conducted, the club attributes its growth to its active presence in the community and consistent coverage in the local press.

Throughout the year, the club organized and participated in a variety of events, including a cinema evening, secondhand clothing sales, a golf tournament and a concert. Members also took part in a Christmas market and a tournament hosted by a local football club, further expanding their outreach.

In addition, the club initiated and hosted the “Orange Your City” campaign in Leverkusen, raising awareness about violence against women and girls. For each activity, the club invited local media to report on its work and highlight the presentation of donations, helping to amplify its impact.

The club also installed several orange benches as part of its advocacy efforts and conducted interviews at these locations, which were featured in local press coverage.
