Zonta Club of Kaohsiung youth empowerment program leads Wenzao students to the global stage

Zonta International District 31 is strengthening its commitment to youth empowerment by expanding opportunities for young women to gain global experience through education and leadership development.

The Zonta Club of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, led by Club President Sherry Shen, launched an initiative under its Youth Empowerment Program to prepare students for international engagement.

Selected members from the Zonta Z Club at Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages have been appointed as public relations representatives and will serve as PR ambassadors to Toastmasters International. Through this role, students will gain hands-on experience in communication, leadership, public speaking and public relations.

Organizers said the program provides an opportunity for interdisciplinary growth, helping participants build confidence, strengthen their communication skills and engage on an international platform.

District leaders emphasized that the initiative reflects Zonta’s mission to empower women and girls through education and advocacy, while preparing the next generation to become global leaders and changemakers.

The district is encouraging more university and secondary school students to participate in similar programs, highlighting the value of service, international engagement and leadership development in creating a more equitable future.
