Zonta Club of Kankakee honors United Nations Day with state proclamation

The Zonta Club of Kankakee, IL, USA, collaborated with Illinois Senator Joyce and House Representative Haas to commemorate United Nations Day 2025 and Zonta's role in the United Nations.

Together, they introduced and passed Illinois Senate Proclamation and House Resolution No. 178, the first in Illinois and among only a few in the United States, to mark the 80th anniversary of United Nations Day. The resolution recognizes Zonta’s global efforts to advance peace and cooperation, and its continued mission to build better lives for women and girls locally and worldwide.
