Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur strengthens cultural and educational equality initiatives

The Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur, Philippines, continues to advance its commitment to education and youth empowerment through two key initiatives that foster cross-cultural understanding and promote equal learning opportunities.

Launched in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Zonta Cultural Exchange Program was established to motivate and empower students during a time of isolation. Partnering with Sagok High School in Gumi City, South Korea, along with Tinago National High School and Naga Parochial School in Naga City, the program offers students virtual opportunities to experience Korean and Filipino culture, language and educational practices. Strengthened through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 13 June 2025, the program continues to promote global friendship and educational exchange, with future plans for in-person visits between partner schools.

Complementing this effort, the club signed a Memorandum of Agreement on 28 March 2025 with government agencies and educational institutions, including DTI, DOST, DepEd, PICPA, DA, TESDA and Naga Foundation College. This partnership aims to address educational barriers by providing learning opportunities that build confidence, critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills. One of the highlights is the Second Youth Conference, which brings together young women entrepreneurs and student leaders from Golden Z Clubs, Z Clubs and partner schools to exchange experiences and foster leadership.
