Immunization Kick-Off in Pasay

On 5 August, the Zonta Club of Makati-Central Business District, Philippines, the Rotary Club of Manila Supreme 198 and the Pasay City Government, through the Pasay City Health Office, launched an Immunization Kick-Off at Jose Rizal Elementary School.

The event underscored the importance of routine immunization in safeguarding children against vaccine-preventable diseases and ensuring a healthier, safer future for communities.

In addition to the campaign, Zontian and Rotarian Maria Liza Diza celebrated her birthday by sponsoring a feeding program for Special Needs Education (SNED) learners at Mendez Central School. The initiative had the support of Zonta President Geri Ignacio, Rotary President-Elect Richard Santos, Club Past President Lina Bagsic and Sps. Ferdie Bagsic, the program served meals to about 45 learners. Organizers said the effort not only nourished students but also highlighted the power of small acts of kindness to make a lasting difference.

The initiative inspired participants to share their blessings and continue advocating for inclusivity. Organizers expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the campaign, particularly the Rotary Club of Manila Supreme 198 and the Zonta Club of Makati-Central Business District.
