Zonta Club of Hualien honors Model Mother and promotes wellness in celebration of Mother’s Day

The Zonta Club of Hualien, Taiwan, recently celebrated Mother's Day with two meaningful initiatives honoring the strength, dedication and wellness of women and mothers in the community.

The club proudly nominated Sister Ho Juliet for the 2025 Hualien County Government’s Model Mother Award. Zonta Hualien President Peng Liping expressed joy and pride as Juliet was officially recognized with the title of Model Mother by county officials.

“Every mother carries unseen burdens and quietly makes courageous sacrifices for her family,” said Peng. “It is their tireless support that allows children to move forward with confidence. Even after giving their all at home, many mothers still find the strength to give back to society. Their spirit deserves our highest respect.”

Peng also reminded the community to cherish loved ones and express gratitude. “Say ‘I love you’ to your mother every day. Let her feel your love and respect while she is still with you—make every day Mother’s Day.”

To further mark the occasion, the club hosted a wellness-centered aromatherapy and essential oil lecture in early May. Led by expert instructors, the session helped participants explore the benefits of essential oils in supporting physical and emotional health, including a hands-on fascia relaxation DIY.

“In our busy daily lives, we often speed up our pace, which makes it difficult for our bodies to be properly nourished and cared for,” said Peng. The workshop helped Zonta members better understand how aromatherapy can restore balance and vitality. It was a chance to reconnect with nature, enhance personal energy and celebrate the healing spirit of motherhood.
