The 2026 Hualien County Model Mother Award Ceremony

The 2026 Hualien County Model Mother Award Ceremony was held on 2 May at the Hualien Parkview Hotel, bringing together more than 200 distinguished guests, community leaders and families to celebrate the profound contributions of mothers to society.

The Zonta Club of Hualien II, Taiwan, is proud to share that Ms. Tsai Pi-Hsueh, chair of the club’s scholarship committee, was honored as the club’s nominee. Tsai's recognition is a true testament to her unwavering dedication not only to her family but also to empowering and supporting young women through education. Her commitment embodies the spirit of service and compassion that aligns closely with the mission of Zonta.

More than ten members from the club were present at the ceremony to celebrate this meaningful achievement, standing alongside her family and friends to witness a moment filled with pride, gratitude and joy. It was not only a recognition of an individual, but also a celebration of the values we uphold—care, resilience and the quiet strength of women who uplift others.

Zonta girls swing with confidence

The Zonta Club of Hualien II's Zonta Girls Golf Team, led by Club President and Team Captain Daisy Chen, traveled to Chiayi on 3 May for a two-day fellowship program centered on connection, friendship and shared purpose.

On the first day, members engaged in a warm and meaningful exchange with the Zonta Club of Chiayi, Taiwan, strengthening inter-club relationships through fellowship and dialogue. The next day, the team participated in a golf gathering hosted by the Zonta Taiwan Golf Team, bringing together Zontians through the shared spirit of the game.

Held at the scenic Palm Lakes Golf Resort in Chiayi, the event provided a sporting experience and a valuable platform for members from different clubs to connect, exchange perspectives and deepen the bonds that unite us within the global Zonta community.

For the Zonta Club of Hualien II, the Zonta Girls Golf Team represents more than a sporting activity. It reflects confidence, resilience and the dynamic energy of women supporting women. Through golf, members cultivate teamwork, build lasting friendships, and actively embody Zonta’s mission in everyday life.

The program concluded with a fellowship dinner, where conversations continued and connections deepened, leaving participants with a renewed sense of unity and inspiration.
