In the news: Microgrant program supports and empowers women-owned small businesses

The Zonta Club of Hilo, HI, USA, has opened applications for its Pay It Forward microgrant program, offering up to US$10,000 in total funding to women-owned small businesses on Hawai‘i Island.

Eligible women entrepreneurs may apply for individual grants of up to US$2,000 to support the startup or expansion of their businesses. The program encourages recipients to “pay it forward” by supporting others once they are financially able.

Established in 2014 with a founding donation from Zonta member and business owner Nancy Cabral, the program continues to grow through community support and aims to promote financial independence for women.

Applications are open until midnight HST on 20 July, and can be submitted online here.
