Golden Z Club of Ming Chuan University strengthens international and educational engagement

The Golden Z Club of Ming Chuan University continues to embody the Zonta spirit through its dedication to service, education and cross-cultural exchange.

On 5 March, Japan’s Shiga University and National Sihu Senior High School visited Ming Chuan University’s Taoyuan campus for an exchange symposium. Faculty and students, including Professor Tsuji Nobuhiro, along with educators from Sihu Senior High School and Ming Chuan University, engaged in discussions on flipped education, bilingual teaching and science exhibitions. Golden Z Club members played a key role in the symposium, providing interpretation in Chinese, English and Japanese, facilitating smooth communication between participants. Their contributions were highly praised by both the visiting guests and faculty members.

Additionally, Ming Chuan University’s Teacher Education Center has been conducting overseas internships with support from the Ministry of Education for two consecutive years. Last summer, Golden Z Club members, including then-President Nana Zeng, participated in a teaching internship at Yokohama Overseas Chinese School in Japan from 23 June to 7 July. Their work in class observations, teaching and extracurricular activities received high recognition from the faculty, leading to another collaboration this year.

The Golden Z club is also actively involved in the Bilingual Digital Learning Program, assisting Teacher Chen Pin-Ju from the Teacher Education Center. Members serve as study companions, teaching assistants and program coordinators, helping disadvantaged elementary and middle school students strengthen their Chinese and English language skills. The program, which incorporates 19 core educational issues set by the Ministry of Education, supported over 150 students last semester, with more than 130 students continuing to benefit this semester.
