Zonta Club of Fredericksburg presents district YWIL award

The Zonta Club of Fredericksburg, USA, named Ellison “Ellie” Tatsch the recipient of its Young Women in Leadership Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership, academic achievement and commitment to community service.

Ellie received a total of US$7,500 after earning recognition at the club, district and international levels through the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award program.

“Ellie exemplified the ideals of Zonta for public service and leadership in our community,” said Stefanie Herdman, Zonta Club of Fredericksburg Young Women in Leadership Chair.

Lisamarie Reznack Williams, Zonta District 10 Young Women in Leadership Award Chair, traveled from Plano, Texas, to present Ellie with the District 10 Award and the Zonta International Young Women in Leadership Award.

As class president and salutatorian at Fredericksburg High School, Ellie organized school events, led fundraising efforts, volunteered with community organizations and served as a student representative at school board meetings. She also volunteered at the National Museum of the Pacific War as an Educational Ambassador.

This fall, Ellie will attend Texas A&M University to study business administration and participate in the Business Honors program at Mays Business School.
