Zonta Club of Ibadan II expands impact
The Zonta Club of Ibadan II, Nigeria, welcomed District 18 Governor Opeibea Omaboe for an official visit aimed at deepening collaboration, assessing ongoing projects and identifying strategies to enhance the club’s visibility in Nigeria and across Africa.
During the visit, the club engaged the District Governor in discussions on membership growth, recent initiatives since the biennium began, and the progress of the new Zonta Club forming in Abuja. The governor commended the strong partnership between Zonta Club of Ibadan and Ibadan II and recognized the club’s dynamic contributions, particularly their impactful webinar series. She encouraged its expansion across other Area clubs to share knowledge and best practices.
As part of the weekend’s activities, the club conducted a Medical Outreach at Akufo Village on 26 April, in collaboration with the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH). Community members received free health services including malaria testing, retroviral screening, blood sugar checks, hepatitis B screening and blood pressure monitoring.
