Zonta Club of Bangkok II hosts educational outreach and donates supplies to Chaiyapruk Foundation
The Zonta Club of Bangkok II, Thailand, recently organized an educational and charitable outreach activity for the children of the Chaiyapruk Foundation, which supports orphans, abandoned children and girls who have experienced abuse by providing education and promoting physical and mental well-being.
As part of the day’s activities, a guest speaker introduced the children to real-life applications of acids and bases, including the role of diet in maintaining the body’s acid-base balance and the importance of pH levels in soil and water for agriculture and aquaculture—key income-generating activities for the foundation. Children participated in hands-on experiments, learning how to test pH levels and apply this knowledge to their own environment.
In addition to the educational session, the club provided scholarships and essential supplies including stationery, picnic tables, shoes, clothing, food items, snacks, cooking oil and rice noodles. Zonta members also co-hosted a lunch for the children, reinforcing the club’s ongoing commitment to service and education.
