Zonta Club of Kauai Foundation empowers four young women

The Zonta Club of Kauai Foundation awarded four local high school students US$4,000 each in scholarships during its annual Scholarship Awards Presentation and Dinner, held May 8 at the Puakea Golf Course Grill. The total amount awarded was US$16,000.

During the event, recipients shared their college goals and expressed plans to return to Kauai after completing their studies, reinforcing the club’s mission to invest in the island’s future.

This year’s scholarship recipients are:

Sage Chaney, Hawaii Technology Academy – Kauai

Trinity Guillen, Kapaa High School

Zaylee Doi Desmarais, Kauai High School

Kiana-Lei Kaleiohi, Waimea High School
