Golden Z Club of Ming Chuan University’s journey of co-learning and co-support
The Golden Z Club of Ming Chuan University continues to embody Zonta International’s spirit by advancing education, service and sustainability through hands-on learning and international collaboration. In 2025, members participated in four major initiatives that connected teaching, community engagement and environmental stewardship.
MCU Practicum in Yokohama Overseas Chinese School
As part of the Ministry of Education’s Overseas Educational Internship and Practicum Program, Golden Z members traveled to Yokohama, Japan, to observe classrooms, exchange teaching methods and conduct lessons. The experience expanded their global understanding of education and culminated in an exchange with the Zonta Club of Yokohama, fostering cross-cultural service learning.
Schweitzer Program in Fu Gang Junior High School
Inspired by Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s philosophy of “reverence for life,” members spent their summer at Fu Gang Junior High School in Taoyuan City. They offered tutoring, mentorship and emotional support to local students, transforming education into a shared journey of growth and mutual respect between learners and mentors.
“Co-Accompanying Betterment” Project Outcome Exhibition
From 11–13 July 2025, members joined the Ministry of Education’s exhibition in Taipei, showcasing the success of digital and bilingual learning companion programs. Through their participation, Golden Z members emphasized the importance of accompaniment and connection in online education, helping students in remote areas build confidence through continuous engagement.
Training Workshop on Sustainability and Net-Zero Carbon Planning
Beyond education, the club also advanced sustainability goals by joining MCU’s Office of Sustainable Development workshop on carbon planning and management. Supported by the Zonta Club of Taipei III, members learned about greenhouse gas assessment, carbon footprint analysis and sustainability reporting—skills they now apply to promote environmental awareness in their communities.
Through these experiences, the Golden Z Club of Ming Chuan University demonstrated how education, compassion and sustainability can intersect to create meaningful global impact.
