Clean Earth, Kind Hearts – Sadaqah in Action

In a heartwarming display of environmental stewardship and service, the Zonta Club of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, in partnership with Muslim children under the guidance of Mrs. Marwilyn Justo, organized an environmental clean-up drive centered around Apad Creek and nearby canals.

Titled “Clean Earth, Kind Hearts – Sadaqah in Action,” the initiative encouraged children to put the Islamic principle of sadaqah—charitable acts—into meaningful practice by caring for their surroundings. As they cleaned waterways and public spaces, their efforts became a living expression of kindness, environmental responsibility and reverence for Allah’s creation.

Attorney May-Ann M. Beting-Pilpil commended the children’s efforts, reminding them of their critical role as future environmental stewards.

To honor their contribution, the Zonta club provided healthy snacks to participants as a gesture of thanks and encouragement. The initiative not only fostered environmental awareness but also inspired children to lead with compassion and purpose.
